Holistic Training solutions are please to announce the development of a new and exciting opportunity for year 10 and 11 learners, from September 2009. We have around thirty places for skills based learning at body balance holistic training solutions. Here the students can study in the work place one day a week over a one or two year period and gain a recognised qualification in complementary or Beauty therapy.
What’s on offer for Schools and Colleges
We offer skills based opportunities as an alternative for these learners, who may have experienced difficulties working in an academic setting. The course includes exciting hands on practical experience in beauty therapy, this will involve the learners developing their skills and working towards a fun presentation in the form of a fashion show at the end of their course.
During the course the learners may achieve the wider key skill working with others, where the learners gain the relevant supplementary knowledge from their course work. The wider key skill will be embedded into the core curriculum and utilising the naturally occurring evidence. This course is designed to be fun and interactive.
The course is a fantastic way of preparing the learner for post school vocational training. There is natural progression from this course to level 1 or level 2 NVQ based qualifications, there is also an option for school leavers to undertake apprentice training upon leaving school.
Apprenticeships
These qualifications are available in Beauty therapy. Learners will study at HTS for one day a week and gain experience through work placement. We also have opportunities to for Adult learners to undertake a similar apprenticeship scheme.
