Birgitte was born in Denmark, but has lived most of her adult life in England. The birth of her first child, she now has three, led to her interest in complementary therapies, as she was seeking a more holistic way to treat the challenges of every aspect of their childhood health.

Using homoeopathy led to four years’ study, including well over 100 hours of clinical experience, and graduation from The College of Practical Homeopathy.

Personal health issues arose - serious back problems, which were not resolved by medication or hard tissue manipulation – until she experienced Bowen Technique Treatment. This led to Birgitte training and qualifying as a Bowen Technique Practitioner with The European College of Bowen Studies.

Today, Birgitte offers treatments from Body Balance in Stourbridge. When she is not treating there she undertakes the course administration for the Bowen Technique Courses which her partner David teaches as well as working with David on the courses which take place at Body Balance as well as all over the UK and more recently in Dubai.
