Personal Profile:

When I started regularly practicing yoga in 2004 I found that going to my weekly yoga class really helped me get through a busy working week by reducing my stress levels and giving me a calm space.

In 2006 I began studying yoga in more depth by taking the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course and my passion for yoga has only thrived since then. In December 2006, I began training for the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma and I will complete this training in 2009.

I have been teaching yoga since May 2007 and I hope to share with others the positive experiences that I have gained from my own practice of yoga.

Class Information :

Wednesday evenings 6.00pm – 7.30pm, 8.00pm – 9.30pm

Thursday morning 9.30am - 11.30pm

The classes are suitable for both beginners and improvers, all levels are welcome. Class sizes are restricted to 10 so booking in advance is essential to secure a place.

My style of yoga is what most people would call Hatha. My teaching focuses on the co-ordination of breath with movement which helps connect mind and body, helping to calm the mind of other thoughts. The postures I teach are aimed to help create strength, flexibility and balance. Each class will involve postures, breathing exercises and end with relaxation. I strongly encourage students to work within their own limits because this is how benefits are achieved and I will modify or suggest alternatives when needed.

My classes are aimed at beginners and improvers so instructions and demonstrations are given fully. It is a relaxed atmosphere where questions are invited if you have them. Remember, you don’t have to be flexible to do yoga!
